Joanna Tasset Baker

Graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing, married and raised a family. Worked off and on part time in the nursing field while being a full time wife & mother. Lived in Wichita the first 10 years of marriage and in Dodge City since then. Celebrated our 50th anniversary this past year. Travel frequently as we have children in Omaha, Savanah, Ga. & Phoenix, Az.

Funny memory? Oh, so many!! One of the most vivid is being told by Fr. Joe that our car smelled like a brewery . (We were Christmas caroling in the community.) Sad to say, the culverts around Windthorst were as well stocked as the local liquor store. I can still see Sr. Benigna going down the aisles swinging a map pull ( a stick with a hook on the end) at some unruly boys. The nun who taught biology would say " Okay, whoever wants to "get it", come up to the front desks." All the jocks raced to the front row!
